Contextual AI

AI-assisted plan drafting

OMNIA’s AI plan generator does not start from a blank page. It starts from everything the platform already knows about the child. The result is a plan that reflects this specific pupil’s documented profile — not a generic template for their need type.

Context-aware generation — the four data layers

Layer 1 — The child's own data

Every assessment score on file. Every standardised assessment imported from GL, Testwise, Lexia Core5, Nessy, Sparx Maths, DoodleLearning, and any manually entered EP or SALT assessment. Age, year group, language background, and English acquisition stage. The AI knows where this child is performing relative to their chronological age and what tools have been used to measure it.

Layer 2 — The professional record

Every previous review cycle and its outcomes. Which targets were met, partially met, or not met. Which strategies were tried and whether they had positive, limited, or no documented impact. What provision is currently in place and at what fidelity. The AI does not suggest strategies that have already been documented as ineffective for this child. It builds on what works.

Layer 3 — The human voice

What the pupil says about how they learn. What their family has told the school. A plan that contradicts what the child says about themselves is not person-centred provision. OMNIA reads the voice before generating the plan.

Layer 4 — The evidence base

Every strategy suggestion is drawn from one of 38 named independent sources — EEF, NICE, nasen, Hattie's Visible Learning, RCSLT, RCOT, and others. The source is cited alongside the suggestion. Every target includes a “Why this target?” transparency panel showing the specific scores, voice entries, and history that informed it.

Jurisdiction-aware language

OMNIA generates plans in the correct statutory vocabulary for the school’s jurisdiction. England uses SEND Code of Practice 2015 language. UAE and ADEK schools use IEP vocabulary and ADEK policy references. IB World Schools use IB learning support language. The plan never uses the wrong framework’s terminology.

The “Why this target?” transparency layer

Every AI-generated target includes a collapsible transparency panel visible to the SENDCo during review. It shows the specific assessment scores that anchored the success criteria, the evidence source for the strategy, the voice entries that shaped the target, and whether similar targets have been tried before. The panel is permanently stored in the audit trail as the rationale record for this plan. It is not shown to parents, pupils, or teachers — it is a professional accountability tool for the practitioner who signs off the plan.

Integrations

Assessment and platform integrations

Standardised assessments — GL Assessment and Testwise

Import directly from GL Assessment and Testwise exports. Supported tools: CAT4, NGRT, PTM, PTE, PASS, GL Dyslexia Screener, BPVS. Scores display with age-equivalent banding on the assessment timeline. Cross-assessment flags identify significant discrepancies between scores — for example, a meaningful gap between cognitive ability and literacy attainment that may indicate a specific learning difficulty.

Intervention and adaptive platform integrations

Lexia Core5 Reading

What OMNIA imports

Programme level (1–20), benchmark predictor, total programme time, last active date.

What the AI does with it

References Lexia level as the structured literacy baseline when generating literacy targets. Flags low programme dosage for pupils with active literacy DLPs. Convergence flag when Lexia At Risk predictor aligns with below-average NGRT scores.

Nessy Reading and Spelling

What OMNIA imports

Baseline and current assessment percentages for reading and spelling, rate of progress, words learned, objectives completed.

What the AI does with it

Notes programme progress rate when generating literacy targets. Flags plateau patterns — where current assessment is close to baseline despite active programme use. Convergence flag when Nessy plateau aligns with GL Dyslexia Screener At Risk result.

Sparx Maths

What OMNIA imports

Compulsory homework completion percentage, homework difficulty level, XP earned.

What the AI does with it

Treats Sparx data as provision fidelity and engagement evidence — not attainment. Flags consistently low completion for pupils with active maths DLPs as a potential indicator of difficulty level mismatch, avoidance, or home access barrier.

DoodleLearning

What OMNIA imports

Per-curriculum-objective understanding percentages across ARE areas for maths and English.

What the AI does with it

Identifies specific curriculum gaps. When generating maths or English DLP targets, selects target areas that address documented Doodle gaps rather than generic need-type areas. Flags gaps in curriculum areas not currently addressed by active DLP targets.

Additional integrations: PUMA (Hodder Education), MAP (NWEA), ISA (ACER), TTRS, and Emile are also supported via CSV import. EP-administered instruments including WISC-V, WIAT, CTOPP-2, CELF-5, YARC, WRAT, BPVS, and Raven’s Progressive Matrices can be entered manually from professional reports. Every data source feeds the same context layer. The more OMNIA knows about a child, the more specific the generated plan.
