For Australian schools
Built for a country that runs eight SEND systems, not one.
Australia doesn't run one national SEND system — it runs eight, one per state and territory, all reporting into the same Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) against the Disability Standards for Education 2005. A NSW school's PLSP, a Queensland school's PLP or ICP, and a WA school's Documented Plan are all doing the same underlying job with different names and different templates. OMNIA is built to work with that reality, not against it.
Your state's plan name — on its way into the editor
OMNIA's jurisdiction model already knows the right name for every state and territory — Personalised Learning and Support Plan in NSW, Individual Education Plan in Victoria, South Australia or Tasmania, Personalised Learning Plan or ICP in Queensland, a Documented Plan in Western Australia, an Individual Learning Plan in the ACT, or an IEP in the Northern Territory. Wiring that into the plan editor itself — so your school sees its own state's name and structure automatically, rather than a generic default — is next on our Australia roadmap.
NDIS plans handled as what they are — external and read-only
A student's NDIS plan is a personal funding plan from the National Disability Insurance Agency, not a school document, and OMNIA never generates or edits one. It's stored as a read-only reference, with school support plans kept clearly separate so nobody mistakes the two — and shared with the school only at the family's discretion, exactly as the framework intends.
Three things Australian Inclusion Coordinators ask for first
- NCCD-aligned evidence — on the roadmap. Adjustment evidence against the Disability Standards for Education 2005 is shaped around what NCCD asks for; a generated, ready-for-census bundle is next to build.
- The right plan name for your state — coming to the editor. PLSP, IEP, PLP/ICP, Documented Plan or ILP are modelled today; automatic, state-aware labelling in the plan editor is our next Australia build.
- NDIS plans kept clearly separate. Read-only, family-controlled visibility — never confused with a school-authored support plan.
The honest position
OMNIA does not replace the Inclusion Coordinator, the NDIA, or the state Department of Education. Our support for Australian schools is still maturing: NDIS handling is built and ready today, and state-specific plan naming and NCCD evidence tooling are next on our roadmap. We'd rather tell you what's built now than oversell what's coming.
