Not an audit of any individual pupil. Seven questions about the register as a whole, the kind that are easy to lose sight of when you're managing it one child at a time.
Could you explain, for every pupil on the register, the specific evidence that put them there, not just the general category of need?
Does your school have documented criteria for exiting a pupil from SEND Support, not just for adding them?
Have you reviewed in the last year whether any pupils have plateaued at the same level of support for three or more terms with no change in strategy?
Is your register distribution across year groups roughly what you'd expect, or does one year group carry a disproportionate share with no clear explanation?
Are you confident the register doesn't systematically over- or under-represent any group (EAL, FSM, a particular gender) in a way that hasn't been questioned?
If a governor or inspector picked five pupils at random from the register, could you show a clear, evidenced rationale for each one within minutes?
Has anyone other than you reviewed the register as a whole in the last 12 months, rather than reviewing individual pupils one at a time?
OMNIA flags plateaued plans, register imbalances, and missing exit criteria automatically as part of the platform, not as a once-a-year manual check.
